Sector: Import, representation and distribution of electrical products.

Problem: There was a need to control Internet use to prioritise tasks exclusively related to work and prevent inappropriate consumption affecting normal operations. On the other hand, there was strong concern about security and control of confidential information.

Solution: The “Web Browsing Control, Email and Network” modules of BPROTwere installed. Protections were activated, defining browsing usage rules, monitoring rules and email protection as well as general network control.

Result: It was possible to raise security levels, improve performance in terms of available bandwidth, optimize use of the company’s vital systems and visualise actual Internet usage by the company for decision making.

Sector: Construction.

Problem: The client has an infrastructure that provides many services to its end-users (both local users and Internet users). These services range from email, management applications, web applications, VPNs, etc. Due to company policies, they needed to minimise incident response times, increase security to reduce them and guarantee service availability.

Solution: . Bprot was installed using the “Web Browsing Control, Network, Email and Web Application” modules.

Result: It was possible to optimise Internet consumption through the implementation of navigation-level policies and restriction in the use of non-work-related applications. At the email level they managed to reduce malicious emails to approximately 6,000 per month, while at the network protection level, BPROT is blocking access involving around 90,000 monthly events to all company services.

Sector: Television

Problem: Although the company has few locally hosted services, it needs to guarantee high availability of bandwidth due to heavy Internet usage in all daily operational tasks, such as HD videos, real-time responses, etc.

Solution: . Bprot was installed with the modules “Web Browsing Control, Network Control and Proactive Security”.

Result: The client was guaranteed correct Internet use by users, ensured the proper availability of daily-use applications through the policy implementation and also managed to increase real-time security levels and identify vulnerable equipment and infrastructure.
